Halfway Through The Woods
You've gotten yourself this far... Let's get you through the rest

Diana Rose Frances, LCSW Clinical Director
Our therapeutic space will be bold, brave, and supportive. I aim to strike a balance of validating feelings of fragility or fear with a genuine belief in the potential to heal. Maybe you’ve been called “too much” or can’t quite carve the life and relationships that you want, despite an inner knowingness of your innate goodness and loving nature. It may at times feel hopeless, but I say there is hope here!
With a background in attachment theory and acute training working with children and families dealing with Reactive Attachment Disorder, I welcome these big and often overwhelming feelings from clients with a longstanding history of symptoms and trauma; especially those who have not yet found the relief they have been looking for.
In our therapeutic time together, you may find yourself expanding your awareness of what you thought you knew, further empowering you to emotionally recover from what it is you have already survived.

Taking the first step toward seeking support is a courageous act, and I’m honored to be part of that journey. Therapy is a powerful, collaborative space where we can explore your story, identify your strengths, and work together to create meaningful change. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered.
As a clinical intern, I am passionate about supporting adolescents and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress management. I have a particular interest in helping clients build self-compassion, improve their relationships, and develop effective coping strategies to lead a more authentic and fulfilling life.
Preceding my Master of Social Work candidacy at Rutgers University, I completed a Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, which provides a unique lens on how our work and professional lives impact overall well-being. My passion for this work is driven by a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the potential for growth and healing within each of us.

My style is warm and gentle, and I bring a calm, steady presence into the therapy room. I balance patience with helping people find their readiness while offering subtle challenges when the time feels right—always with the intention of helping you move closer to the life you want. Many of the people I work with come in feeling overwhelmed by emotions or stuck in patterns that feel difficult to break. Together, we slow things down, build tools for resilience, and create space for the possibility of change.

My work is rooted in a trauma-informed perspective, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and somatic techniques. This means we might work on concrete skills to manage emotions one day, and on reconnecting with your body or uncovering deeper patterns the next. It’s a balance of practical support and gentle exploration.

I’m currently an MSW candidate at Metropolitan State University of Denver and an intern therapist at Halfway Through the Woods. I welcome people of all identities and experiences, and furthermore, I believe therapy works best when you can truly bring all aspects of yourself.
